Barbara Romo
A lifelong Texan, Barbara wrote her first book in high school when she should have been studying geometry, and then majored in History and Forestry on her way to a degree in Political Science. She's been a wheat farmer and a fry cook, modeled for an artist, baked wedding cakes, raised orphan calves, played viola in a national orchestra, and pulled her own transmission. And she'd do any of it again except bake those cakes - brides can be a little scary.
She currently lives near Austin with her husband, a librarian and historian. When not insuring oil wells by day and writing about aliens by night, she spends her free time finding new favorite singer-songwriters, trying out recipes on her tolerant husband, and reconnecting to nature by growing anything that will bloom. She's a member of Austin Romance Writers of America and EPIC, the Electronically Published Internet Connection.
