Diane Haynes' dreams have always been rich in imagery and fantastic stories. On the morning of her brother's birthday, seven months after his passing, when she woke with the incredible fantasy of a girl turning-temporarily-into a fairy, she knew she had to write it down. Becoming dissatisfied after a few days with a mere twelve-page short story, she set on a mission to expand it, creating the tale which would lead to her climactic dream. Years later, she understands The Rift Healer to be a 'spirit-gift' from her brother.
Diane is the owner of a New Age shop, Some Enchanted Evening, in Spencer, MA where she writes between serving customers. Although she loves all her characters, she identifies most with the herbalist, Gisele, who dispenses herbs and advice in equal amounts. She and her husband care for their a very naughty Bassett hound who sometimes answers to the name Basil.
